You have acquired a specialized unit ALMAG-O3 (hereinafter – DIAMAG), for the treatment of diseases of the brain with low-frequency, low-intensity pulsed magnetic field at home.
Carrying out procedures by the patient at home does not require special training or special skills, however before applying the product Physical Therapist should be consulted. Before the procedure you must carefully examine the medical instruction manual and correctly perform the method of treatment. This will ensure the most efficient use of the device.
Attention! The device should be used to treat diseases listed in the “Indications” only after the establishment of an accurate diagnosis.

Introduction
Currently, magnetic therapy is beginning to occupy a leading position among Physical Therapy treatments and rehabilitation of many diseases. The reason for it is that substantial experience with magnetic therapy has been gained via medical practice and its effectiveness and risk free application has been proved, which of course is relevant to patients.
The main effects of magnetic fields are:
• Anti-inflammatory and analgesic (relieves pain);
• Decongestant;
• Vasodilator;
• Sedative (calming);
• Lymphatic Drainage (improves lymph flow, which is important in cases of injuries, stagnation of blood and lymph);

General description of the device
DIAMAG (ALMAG-O3) consists of a control unit and an emitter “headband”.
Emitter “headband” consists of two flexible emitting lines. Each of the lines contains 6 inductors. The working surface of the inductors designated label N (north).
The unit generates two types of pulsed magnetic fields “travelling” and “fixed”.
“Travelling” is a field in which there is a consistent excitation of inductors flexible lines radiating from the 1st inductor at 6, under cyclic law.
“Fixed” field- simultaneous excitation of all inductors.

Therapeutic effects of DIAMAG device for different diseases
During clinical trials in the treatment of stroke patients and patients suffering from other cerebrovascular diseases, we established the following clinical effects:

General rules of procedures.
Disinfecting
Disinfection of the external surfaces of the control unit and radiating lines of flexible and elastic tapes should performed by wiping cloth of calico or gauze soaked in disinfectant solution. As a disinfecting solution it is recommended to use (0, 5-1) % aqueous solution of the drug d • chlorhexidine (gibitan), which can be purchased at the pharmacy. The product is odorless, and belongs to a class of low-hazard substances. The solution can be prepared in any dish, by mixing it with water. The interval between the rubbings is at least 15 minutes. During the treatment of surfaces, in order to avoid getting the solution into the unit and radiating lines napkin should be squeezed of water. Then, wipe the surface with napkin, and dry it at ambient temperature no more than +50 ° G.
Note. In preparing the solution it is necessary to wear rubber gloves.

Precautions for carrying out the procedures at home
Attention!
Since each person is different, the treatment requires an individual approach. Therefore, before using the machine at home, you should consult a doctor for proper adjustment dose for magneto therapeutic influence.
Regardless of which the treatment is carried out, before the procedure, and 20-30 minutes after, patient should monitor blood pressure. It is necessary to evaluate the magnetic sensitivity and quality of treatment.
Please be aware that during the treatment of DIAMAG, in 0.5% of cases there is an increase or decrease in blood pressure. In case where increase or decrease in blood pressure following procedure conducted, is no more than 10-25 mm hg, during the following procedure it is necessary to decrease the exposure time by 1/3. In cases where increase or decrease in blood pressure after the procedure has changed by more than 25 mm hg, before performing the following procedure, you should consult a Physical Therapist for adjusting the methods of treatment. To view the dynamics of the blood pressure, patient should keep a diary, noting change in numbers.
In imposing coils on the head, adjust its size with the help of adhesive tape (“Velcro”). When applying the working surface of the coils marked «N» (North Pole) must be turned towards the affected area.
In the treatment of stroke at home, treatments are recommended to be performed in the first half of the day.
Repeated treatments DIAMAG conducted at intervals of 1.5 – 2 months. Reduction of the interval is possible only on the recommendation of a Physical Therapist.

The rules of procedures under medical institutions
In hospitals procedures are performed according to the methodologies described in the medical instructions published in the attached “Bundled official documents.” Treatment time for each patient is set by the doctor.

Treatment in the first 7 – 10 days carried out the procedure Program 1. Subsequent 7-10 days of treatment carried out the procedure Program 2. Procedures are released once or twice a day. Treatment time is up to 20 minutes and is determined by the attending physician in accordance with the condition of the patient.
The course of treatment is up to 20 days. Repeated treatments are to be carried out in 1.5-2 months.

If the patient has already been treated by DIAMAG, for the most effective treatment, it is necessary to clarify the methods of treatment by a doctor, who had previously appointed diamagnetic treatment. Repeated treatment by DIAMAG of after-effects of suffering a stroke, transient ischemic attack and chronic brain ischemia are to be performed 1.5 months after previously conducted course of magnetic therapy.
If the machine has not been used in a hospital in the acute phase of stroke, then you should consult with a physical therapist prior to using.
After a consultation, the patient himself or assisted by relatives can conduct treatments with control of blood pressure, as indicated above.
Methods of treatment. The coils is placed on patient’s head with an arrangement of cables entering in the occipital region and the capture of inducers extreme frontal part, «N» (north) side of the head. Treatment in the first 7-10 days of the procedure carried out by Program 1.
The first 2 days of treatments are to be performed for 5 minutes once a day, with control of blood pressure before and after the procedure. With good tolerability of treatment (without blood pressure changes, and without excessive sleepiness) procedures are to be carried out twice a day. The first procedure is carried out in the morning, the second procedure is to be carried out no later than 2 hours before sleep. The minimum interval between treatments is 6 hours. The next 3 days exposure is to be carried out by 7 minutes, once or twice a day. In the remaining days of treatment as described in the Program MI treatment time is 20 minutes.
The next 7-10 days treatment procedure are conducted by methodology Program 2. The procedures are to be performed same way: once or twice a day.
Migraine, migraine neuralgia.
Attention! In the case of the patient having migraine, DIAMAG you must always have machine at hand to be able to carry out the procedure at the first sign of incipient suffering from migraine attack. Timely procedures help to prevent an attack.
Methods of treatment. The coils are placed on the head with an arrangement of cables entering the occipital region and the capture of coils on extreme frontal part, «N» (north) side of the head. Treatment of acute migraine attack are carried out by procedure Program 1.
Since all patients are different, the procedure, they may vary greatly. The main criterion of the length of the procedure is the presence of pain.
The best time of the procedure is +2 minutes after pain ceases. For example, the patient suffered a migraine attack. The patient began a procedure with DIAMAG, and after 12 minutes pain stopped. After that, the impact is carried out 2 more minutes and the procedure ends. Total time – 14 minutes, after this “headband” is removed, and the device is switched off. Maximum procedure time – do not exceed 20 minutes. After the procedure, you must lie down for 1-2 hours. In that case, the attack usually does not resume.
After termination of migraine attack it is necessary to perform treatment as described in the Program 1, 7 days and 7 days following the procedure Program 2. Time of procedures – 20 minutes.
In the case of recurrence of migraine attacks, their intensity will be much smaller, so the treatment can be reduced. Repeated courses of treatment are carried out as follows: the procedure Program 1 – three days and the procedure Program 2, next 5-7 days. Treatment time to 20 minutes.
Chronic iridocyclitis.
Methods of treatment. The coils are placed on the head so that the cables entry and the first inductors are located on the occipital region, then the inductors pass over the auricles, extreme inductors are mounted on eyes facing the «N» (north) side of the head. Treatment is carried out as described in Program 3. The course of treatment is 10-20 days. Procedures conducted for the first 3 days are accompanied by monitoring of arterial blood pressure. Procedures are released once or twice a day. The duration of follow-up procedures are 20 minutes in length. If necessary, treatment increases on the recommendation of a Physical Therapist.
Parkinson’s disease.
Parkinson’s disease is a chronic, relentlessly progressive disease specific to brain structures which causes cell degeneration and manifests itself in the form of a “shaking palsy”, which greatly impairs the quality of life. In this regard, the use of a diamagnetic apparatus is needed to prevent further degeneration of cells and for these cells to carry out their functions.
Methods of treatment. The coils are placed on the head with the location of the cables and the first input inductors on the occipital region, the Middle inductors pass over the ears, and capture extreme frontal part of the «N» (north) side of the head. Treatment is carried out by the method of Program 4. In the first 3 treatments exposure time is 7 minutes. Before and after the procedure blood pressure is being monitored. The duration of follow-up procedures is 20 minutes once a day.
The course of treatment is up to 20 days. If necessary, treatment increases with the recommendation of a physician. Repeated courses of treatment, if necessary, are carried out in 1.5 – 2 months.
Sleep disorders.
Methods of treatment. The coils are placed on the head, the cable located by the occipital region with capture extreme frontal part inductors facing the «N» (north) side of the head. Treatment is carried out just before bedtime as described in Program 1. The time of the first three treatments is 12 minutes, later treatments are 20 minutes. The course of treatment is 10-20 days. Procedures are dispensed once a day.
Osteochondrosis of the cervical spine with symptoms cephalgia, cranialgia.
Methods of treatment. The Ruler transducer is separated and placed on both sides of the cervical spine, facing the «N» (north) side of the body. A cable is placed over the occipital region in such a way that with first inductor lines, the field produced is directed to the first and second cervical vertebrae. Follow the methodology in Program 2. After that, the transmitter is fastened into a ring and is worn on the head in such a way that the input cables are located on the occipital region, facing the «N» (north) side of the head. The methodology is the same. Exposure time to the spine and the head during the first three treatments are 10 minutes, subsequent procedures are performed for 15 minutes for each region.
Procedures are carried out once a day. The course of treatment is 10-20 days.
